[Stephen Delk] Stephen Delk - President
Steve Delk started in the pest control industry working for his father in 1976. In 1997 he purchased the company from his father and operates under the name Delk Pest Control. Delk Pest Control conducts business in Branches II and III. Steve has been involved with PCOC since 1984. He has served as an officer many times in the Mid-Cal District. At the state level Steve served as the GP Committee and has served on many committees over the years.
[Scott Howell] Scott R. Howell - President-Elect
Scott has been around the pest control industry virtually his entire life. Scott actually began working in the industry at the age of 14, when his father opened Howell Pest Control in 1978. After graduating from UC Santa Barbara in 1985, Scott was Commissioned 2nd lieutenant in the US Air Force. He began working for Mission City Fumigation in 1990 and became president of Mission City Fumigation in 2003. He holds licenses in Branches 1 & 2.

Scott has served as Treasurer, Secretary, Vice Chair and District Chairman for PCOC’s Santa Barbara District. He also has chaired the Fumigation Committee and has served on numerous committees and task forces for PCOC. Scott holds a Batchelor of Science in Business Economics from UC Santa Barbara, a Master of Science in Systems Management from the University of Southern California, and a Master of Arts in Classical Civilizations from UC Santa Barbara.

He currently resides in the Santa Ynez Valley with his two children, Jason and Delaney. He spends most of his free time with his kids, but also manages to find time for camping, visiting tropical islands, reading up on ancient history – and of course, golf.

[Travis Swope]Travis Swope - Treasurer
Travis has grown up in the pest control industry and began working for his father at the age of 16. He spent summers working on a fumigation truck while going to college before deciding to join the company full time. Holding an Operator’s License in Branches 1,2, and 3, Travis knew that to further his industry education, he needed to surround himself with the industries best and brightest leaders and join the PCOC. Working with great friends and mentors, Travis has been actively involved in the Association for many years and has served as Chairman of the L.A./Southbay District, as well as Chairman of the Fumigation Enforcement Sub-Committee and the Fumigation Committee. While working with many of the standing PCOC committees, Travis has a particular concentration on California and National legislative issues, as well as continuing to foster and develop the relationship between PCOC and our friends at the National Pest Management Association (NPMA). Today, Travis is the founder and President of Griffin Pest Management based in Orange County California.
[Robert Baker]Robert Baker - Second Vice President
Born and raised in Modesto, California in the heart of agriculture, Robert always believed he would grow up to farm; however that is not how it worked out.

Directly out of college Robert worked for Van Waters and Rogers, where he was then recruited by Clark Pest Control as their Technical Director (14 years) and then in his current position as Operations Manager.

Robert has had an active role in the pest management industry working on numerous local, state, national, and international projects. He has served on a number of committees, including the California Department of Pesticide Regulation’s "Pest Management Advisory Committee;" The California State "Urban Pest Management Working Group;" PCOC’s General Pest Committee, IPM Committee, and he currently chairs the Water Quality Committee. Additionally he has served on several NPMA committees (3 of which were recognized) and was recognized as "NPMA Committee of the Year".

In 2004, Robert was recognized by PCT magazine as one of the 40 most influential people in our industry under the age of 40. He has testified before the California State Senate on behalf of his association helping to prevent legislation that would have been devastating to our industry. Robert has been married to his wife Ronda for 19 years and they enjoy four children.
[Matt Evans]Matt Evans - Third Vice President
Matt Evans is a second generation PCO, son of Lyle and Marie Evans, who are both past presidents of PCOC. He owns Northstar Exterminators-West, serving Southern California. He holds an operators license in all three branches of pest control as well as an ag license. Matt has served as treasurer, vice-chairman and chairman of the San Bernardino/Riverside district as well as serving as a director of that district for over 20 years. He has chaired the Safety, Fumigation, Fumigation Enforcement and Constitution/By-laws Committees of PCOC. He is married to his wife, Cathy, of 17 years and they have three sons. His off work activities include family time at the desert with their sandrail and ATV’s and hunting in Utah.
[Mike Bullert]Mike Bullert - Secretary
Mike was born and raised in Redding, CA. After High School, he attended Willamette University and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry. In college, he studied vertebrate physiology and conducted research about the effects of pesticides on amphibians. All this in preparation to become a Wildlife Biologist, or so he thought. While searching for employment, he took a part time position as a pest control technician for a national pest control company.

Mike found that he was very passionate about pest control and advanced his way through the company. In nine years, he served many roles, including Branch Manager in four different cities in California. In 2007, he purchased Big Time Pest Control, which he now operates with his wife Bekki. He holds an Operator's license in Branches I, II and III. He has been a PCOC Director since 2002. He has served as District Chair of the Shasta and Big Valley Districts. He has been the committee chair of the General Pest Committee and the GreenPro Task Force.

He currently lives in Redding with his wife Bekki, of 16 years, and his four children: Kaylin, Emily, Megan, and Zach. Mike also coaches High School Wrestling. In his spare time, he loves to camp and fish with family and friends.
[Casey Brierley]Casey Brierley - Affiliate Rep
Casey Brierley is the vice president and regional manager for Target Specialty Products in the Pacific Northwest and northern California markets. In addition to managing the day-to-day operations of the San Jose, Sacramento and Portland branches, he leads a team of 10 field representatives. Prior becoming a regional manager, he served as a branch manager for Target’s San Jose and Fresno branches. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Crop Science from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California.

Brierley is a member of California Association of Pest Control Advisers (CAPCA), the Pest Control Operators of California (PCOC), and the Northern California Turfgrass Council (NCTC). He is a licensed pest control advisor and a past member of Toastmasters International.
[Martyn B. Hopper]Martyn B. Hopper - Executive Vice President & Chief Executive Officer
Prior to joining PCOC in May of 2007, Mr. Hopper served as California State Director for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) for more than 25 years. NFIB is the largest small business organization in the United States with over 36,000 of its members in California. As State Director, Martyn was NFIB's chief advocate for small business in California and responsible for the direction of NFIB public policy in the state, as well as the operation of the State Legislative Office in Sacramento. He has helped draft many small business bills which have been enacted into law and chaired numerous statewide initiative campaigns on business issues over the past fifteen years. Martyn was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger as Chair of the California Small Business Board in 2006. He was a bi-partisan Chair of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's re-election campaign and was co-chair of the Governor's Reform Agenda campaign in 2005. He graduated from Liverpool University Law School with an LL.B. Honors Degree and is a member of the Honorable Society of the Middle Temple.
[Jenai Zeringue]Jenai Zeringue - Office Manager
Jenai came to the PCOC in April of 2007 having worked at Marsh for two years prior to that. Her extensive Administrative experience brings much needed support to the PCOC. She was born and raised in Sacramento and is continuing her education at Sacramento City College.
[Nancy Buck]Nancy Buck - Manager, Financial Services
Nancy was born and raised in Stockton, California, and attended local schools, including San Joaquin Delta College. Nancy extended her education by enrolling in tax management courses. She has worked as a bookkeeper for both private and public accounting companies over the last 27 years. Nancy came with her family to Sacramento in 1979, and joined PCOC as our full charge bookkeeper September 1991.
